Refrigeration

Household Tips

  • At a minimum, annually remove the toe grill from the bottom front of your refrigerator and vacuum the condenser coils. Be extremely cautious when doing this so you do not damage a coil. Clean coils will ensure the refrigerator willl run more efficiently and last longer. If your home has animals that shed, cleaning the condenser coils more often is recommended.
  • To allow for proper airflow around the refrigerator, make sure you have at least a 1/2″ clearance on the sides of the unit and 1″ clearance at the top.
  • Due to the way the thermostats run in a refrigerator, it is not recommended to have a refrigerator in an unheated garage. The low winter temperatures can cause the freezer to thaw. For more information on this please discuss it with a salesperson.
